Follow the story as Aga's friends help him look for his stripes. / Will he find them? / 'The Junglies' is a series of eleven children's books ideal for children between the ages of 4 to 8 years old. / Each book in the series has a lesson for young readers to take to heart. The lessons include gratitude, teamwork and honesty. / 'The Junglies' series of books have excellent educational value apart from simply being enjoyable and beautifully illustrated books. / The books are ideal to introduce education regarding endangered species for young readers as every character in the books is represented by an animal which has at least one subspecies that is endangered including rabbits! / The game warden in the books is representative of man's ideal relationship with nature which should be that of helper, nurturer and protector. / Perhaps most importantly, the theme of 'unity in diversity' is evident in the books by virtue of the fact that the animals are all friends despite being different. They work together to overcome challenges and have fun. / It is important that we teach children to respect others regardless of race, culture or religion. 'The Junglies&' series does this very well, and neutrally, from the perspective that the theme is addressed using animals as opposed to people. / In addition, 'unity in diversity' should also be extended to encompass mans relationship with nature and wildlife.
