Tracy lived in a apartment in Los Angeles her entire life and was suddenly shipped off to her Aunt Connie's ranch in Arizona. Life there was different than what she was used to, but it was a good kind of different for Tracy. As time went on during her stay while her mother was in the hospital in L.A., Tracy met new friends as well as learned more about animals than she had ever known. Before she knew it, she was hooked on ranch life and all it had to offer. The Author of this wonderful story really shows children how exciting life on a ranch can be through completely colorful descriptions of animals and how they behave, as well as how things are done on the ranch every day. Kids will love some of the antics that occur throughout the book and the reactions of Tracy as she experiences this new way of life. I found myself laughing many times as I read the book and even found myself telling my adult daughter some of the funny parts. It truly is a timeless book that anyone would enjoy reading. I highly suggest it to anyone who loves a good read that is fictional but simple. It's a good down home story full of surprises. Kudos to the Author!
