This book is about a little boy diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder who has difficulty with trying new foods. Mealtimes would consist of meltdowns--gagging and vomiting-- when presented with new foods. Consequently, his parents fed him what he would eat... French Fries; but they knew he was not getting adequate nutrition. Most children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder experience extreme food preferences and are often sensitive to textures and smells. Understanding why he only preferred certain foods was the beginning of helping him to experience new foods.

This book looks at this challenge with humor. The little boy is determined to make mom understand that French Fries is all he needs. Mom on the other hand tries to teach her son that to be healthy; he must begin to least try other nutritional foods.
