What eighteen-year-old girl would ever image inheriting an old ancestral mansion for her birthday? Especially a mansion that has been a hotbed for smuggling since the French Revolution and is full of secret passageways, German spies, murder and intrigue. But that is exactly what Francine "Franky" Jordane's great uncle left her, along with his two Doberman guard dogs. The year is 1939 and Hitler has invaded more than Europe. His spies are at work in the United States, along the coast of Georgia, using Franky's mansion for smuggling weapons and money to Germany. With the help of a handsome Secret Service agent sent to protect her and the ghost of Franky's great uncle, Franky must work her way through the maze of passageways, secrets, lies and family history to solve the murder of her great uncle and stop the German spies.
