MoreThe Christmas Boy is a heartwarming tale about an orphan boy named Johnny who is found lying, lifeless, in the snow on Christmas eve by Santa Claus. The cold, exhausted boy is taken to the North Pole by the Jolly Old Elf to live forever. Santa gives something to Johnny he hasn't had in awhile, a family. The orphan boy is accepted by every person, elf, and reindeer in Christmas Land. Johnny is truly happy, because he is surrounded by people who care about him.
Johnny meets everyone at the North Pole. Magically, he remembers the name of each elf and reindeer he meets as soon as he is introduced to them. The reindeer even dance for Johnny.
Johnny gets a job working in the reindeer barn, where he becomes friends with the most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph. Rudolph and Johnny become very close. Rudolph eventually teaches Johnny to ride him while he flew around the North Pole.
Although Johnny is happy to have a family, Johnny becomes very sad after stayinng about two weeks at the North Pole.
He misses the orphaned kids he used to take care of in the town where he was from. He's worried that the kids he new might be cold, hungry, and in danger
Johnny becomes so sad, he decides he has to find a way to visit his friends. He talks Ruldolph into flying him back to the town where he used to live to check on the kids. One night, after everyone the North Pole falls asleep, Johnny and Rudolph fly to the orphan's town.
They find the kids in an old abandoned barn on the edge of town. Johnny wakes up the kids as he climbs into the loft where they are sleeping. The kids are as excited to see Johnny as he is to see them. The kids stayed up all night playing, eating, and taking turns riding around the barn on Rudolph.
Johnny and Rudolph decide to fly back to the barn every night to see the kids, and the traveling takes its toll on them. Santa eventually finds out about these trips and follows the duo back to the barn. When Santa realizes that Johnny has went through all of this trouble to ake care of his friends, Mr. Claus becomes very proud of Johnny.
Santa confronts Johnny in the barn and tells the orphan how proud he is. Santa then gives johnny a very special title.
Johnny is now to be known as the Christmas Boy. His job is to fly around the world on Rudolph and find kids theat are unhappy for any reason. Then, it is the Christmas Boy's job to make them happy..
