Blue! Come out, come out, wherever you are! Join television's Blue's Clues gang, including Magenta, Slippery Soap, and Sidetable Drawer, to help them try to find their missing friend, the blue spotted pup, Blue. Dynamic Steve, Blue's human pal, leads the search, encouraging young readers to sing all of Blue's favorite songs into the book's built-in recorder and lure her out of hiding. This highly interactive board book uses red dots in the text to indicate places where children should repeat Steve's words or sing songs into the sound module, and green dots to play back young readers' own voices. The quirky, oversized images from Blue's Clues will be happily familiar to preschoolers, and, on close examination, the collage-style illustrations have some clever surprises. (The greenery of the tree is actually a head of lettuce!) When they hear their own voices reciting words from the story or singing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," children will be thrilled to discover that they have literally become part of the adventure.
