It is about decision making for future generations and examines the different energy forms in use and their effect on the environment from the greenhouse effect to acid rain, the problems of nuclear power and looks to the future. The author is a specialist in atmospheric physics and part of the British Antarctic Survey Team which discovered the hole in the ozone layer over the Antarctic.
