PUBLISHING STATEMENT Urim Publications, founded in 1997 by Tzvi Mauer, is an independent publishing house based in Jerusalem and New York. Forging new paths in producing significant works of wide Jewish interest, Urim Publications is dedicated to publishing and distributing classical and contemporary works of the highest caliber. Our main areas of interest include: Jewish Thought, Spiritual or Meditative Works, Women and Judaism, Jewish Law and Modernity, Bible Commentary, Israel Studies, Modern Biographies, and Children's Illustrated Books. CHILDREN'S BOOKS The children's division of Urim Publications aims to produce beautifully written and illustrated picture books that children will want to read again and again. We hope these books will impart messages worth sharing. Our focus is on original, compelling stories which explore the touching or humorous moments of family relationships and social situations. Stories can be in English or in Hebrew, should target children ages 4-8, and should be approximately 1000 words.
