About Bonnie
I'm a retired second-grade teacher. My first young-adult book, Letters in the Attic, was published when I was sixty. Amazingly, it won a Lambda Literary Award. My second Y/A novel, Kat's Promise, was published by Harcourt in 2006. My new middle-grade novel, The Private Thoughts of Amelia E. Rye will be published in 2010 by FSG/Melanie Kroupa Books. I have an amazing agent, Wendy Schmalz. I love to read, cook, and play with my cocker spaniel, Matilda. I also have a really nice husband who understands how weird and neurotic writers can be and two grown kids.
