I am a children's book illustrator, story writer and designer of pop-up books.I've been illustrating for about 30 years since graduating in fine art at Exeter Art College. I began in portraiture, then moved on to designing greetings cards of cute animals, then gradually got into illustration, my first love, despite being told I was rubbish at it! I began desiging pop-ups by accident when illustrating books by other designers, and I now do this most of the time. I like people to open my pop-ups and go 'WOW'!
I also have a series of prints and cards called Country Comicals inspired by the Yorkshire countryside where I live with my dogs and rabbits. I hope to write and illustrate a book in this style sometime soon.
