I really love anything creative, and people. It has been inspiring doing scenic photography and pictures of my oils and acrylics published in books. Doing landscapes and architecture are relaxing and invigorating at the same time, especially when it just comes together at the right time and place. It has been interesting meeting artists and interviewing NY Times best-selling mystery wrtiers... having things published in magazines, books and on-line. Most of it was small stuff in small towns, not big coverage but it mattered to me and was fun.
But what I really loved was seeing the faces in my daughter's second grade class when I read a story I wrote, and sang the song that went with it. The kids all gave their feedback, the music teacher helped with the composition and the entire school performed the song at aspecial assembly. That was priceless!
So I dink around with a lot of different interests and topics. Now it's 2011- I'm back into the adult issues of social commentary on homelessness with my first solo-documentary. It has been fascinating, sometiems a little scary and always insightful. I have several children's stories I'd like to send out also this year, now thatI finally found them and put them on CD's off those old floppy disks and did some revising this fall. So we'll see.
