Erin Whalen is a full time children's author, illustrator, & teacher. She lives in a small town in Rhode Island with her three children Anthony, Angelica, Ariel, and her cat Ostara. Erin received a college degree for interior design in 1997. Still, her love of children's literature pushed her to pursue her career as an author. In 1999, while on maternity leave from interior design, Erin decided to open her own publishing company and put her first book in the hands of children and book collectors everywhere. With her first book printed and bound, she began visiting schools and educating students on the process of creating a book from first thought to finished product. While doing this, she also encouraged the children to imagine what they want, create it, and believe in it just as she did with her "Charlie's Head" book series. She continues to believe in the statement: "What the mind can conceive, you can achieve." With that idea in mind she began teaching students (children and adults) to reach into their imaginations and create what they believe in. Her workshops include 'The Kids Writing Workshop, Children's Book Illustration, Self-Publishing, and School presentations featuring 'the making of Children's book'. Erin has finished the third book in the Charlie's Head Series and is now working on a middle grade novel. She will to continue educating others and helping them find their creative power source. Erin is a proud member of the Society of Children's Book Writer's & Illustrators
