Publisher Information
Hill Street Press
Hill Street Press is a general interest publisher of trade books. We are primarily interested in nonfiction proposals in history, pop culture, music, gardening, cooking/food, business, sports, African American and other ethnic studies, gender/women's studies, gay/lesbian studies, memoir, biography, and other areas; we occasionally publish fiction. Generally, books published under the Hill Street Press imprint have something to do with the American South. We are specifically looking for books that have strong regional ties, as defined by subject matter or location of the author (by birth or presently). We are especially interested in books that can transcend regional limitations, however, and find a strong commercial audience nationally and internationally. We also publish several other lines of books including thematic crossword puzzle books, college trivia books, children's book and graphic novels/nonfiction.
