Publisher Information
Fieldwork Publications
Fieldwork Publications is an independent academic publisher. We are committed to publishing Social Studies books for children. Our books encourage children to become involved in Social Studies issues through interactive methods, such as writing their own histories and interviewing family and community members. They are also designed to maximise learning potential where educational resources may be few. In 2006, we are concentrating on books for children in the Caribbean region. We also publish innovative social science research, particularly from newly established scholars and doctoral students. One of our main aims is to contribute to the process of bringing the works of new researchers to the attention of specialists in their field of study. Our current publishing programme is committed to Sociology/Anthropology, Caribbean Studies, Women's and Gender studies, and Race and Ethnicity. Our principal markets are Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and North America. We are based in London and the Caribbean. The majority of our customers are teachers, faculty members, researchers, parents, as well as a variety of libraries and other educationally-based institutions.
