The reader may become concerned for the character’s well being, but is not frightened because the woman is not frightened. The illustrations were created with pen and watercolor. The pen is used to add detail and definition. If you look only at the watercolor you can see the changes in the colors, but without the lines some things would be hard to tell. The use of color is interesting in this book because it goes where ever the funny little woman goes
