It is crazy to me how such a young girl (12) can write a story better than a lot of grownups. My son is 2 ½ and he was excited to get to read a book about horses. We get to see horses on the way to daycare almost every day. I think now we have reached the point where I am going to have to take him for ride a pony. This children’s book is a delight to read to my son. All the horses seem to be plotting after the day is done. No one is around so they play cards. They even play spa, painting each others hooves and braiding their manes. I love how the horses have their own personality, some old and some young, and Cloud is quite the funny guy telling jokes making the girls laugh. I mean what a doll, Anaka is! I believe she has a bright future as an author. Her imagination is brought to life within these pages. The illustrations were awesome and kept my sons attention. I just might be guilty of wondering what animals do when no one is around. Now I know! The Night Horses are having way too much fun at their party in the barn! But even horses know that when the party is over, it’s time to get some rest. I hope that every child gets a chance to express themselves like Anaka has done. I love that her parents have nurtured her talent and I support her 110%! You go girlfriend! I will be waiting on your next book! Until then, I am headed for the disco in my dreams with The Night Horses.
