SBSLIBRARY said: In our school we have "Value's of the Month". November is "Generosity". We read this book and then the children bring in apples. I bring home the apples, peel them, cut them, and then put them into individual baggies for the children to add to a bowl with apple pie ingredients. I mix everything together and then put into pie crust. The children then give them to teachers, the school principal, and the school secretary. With any remaining apple filling I bake it with a graham cracker or oatmeal topping and share it with the students. The children are very pleased with their apple pie filling and even more proud to share the pies with everyone to bring home for Thanksgiving.
