Nico has been an only-dog for some time. Then mom and dad bring home Tugger. What is Nico to think of this cry baby? Always wanting to play with his toys, wanting to sleep in his bed….all unwelcomed by Nico! Oh Brother! is a charming ‘tale’ of bringing home that second doggie, much like it is when mom and dad have a second baby. This book had my heart from the cover page!
Miles said that his favorite part is “Tugger n Nico funny tail”. Miles enjoyed Nico and Tugger and was able to identify with both sides of the story. That is a unique part of this book. You get a piece of Nico’s mind and Tugger’s! Having separate points of view really allow children to understand that the way they may feel about another sibling is normal and that the new sibling has feelings too. Everyone wants to belong and be loved.
This story has a happy ending. We love happen endings!
