Have just finished reading Stuck in Neutral - a really thought provoking book. The author's vision of Shawn's life was both uplifting and painfully depressing at the same time. I think the father will be unable to carry out the deed. The human spirit will prevail and Shawn's will to live will
protect him. I was surprised to read that the story was based on the author's own life experience - it made the ending all the more poignant. Thank you for introducing this fine book to me. Kay

We take so much for granted with communication -not just saying the words, but the body language and tone of voice all add to meaning and intention - it is this area of communication which baffles many people with ASD.
