Aladdin Paperbacks is Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing's paperback imprint for readers ages 4 to 12 years old. The imprint includes a line for beginning readers, Ready-to-Read books (including the Henry & Mudge series by Cynthia Rylant and Suzie Stevenson); and the Ready-for-Chapters line for newly independent readers. (Including The Bears on Hemlock Mountain by Alice Dalgliesh and The Unicorn's Secret series by Kathleen Duey). The backbone of the Aladdin list are reprints from the hardcover imprints, including some of the most enduring children's books of the modern era, such as classic picture books like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr., John Archambault, and Lois Ehlert, and Strega Nona by Tomie DePaola; honored fiction like From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E.
