About Wanda
Hi Everyone! I am Wanda - a native Texan living in Mississippi. For the past 15 years I have been a high school instructor. Though I love teaching, my true passion is writing. I have written feature stories and had a weekly column for a few small town newspapers and have recently, with my daughter, coauthored a number of children’s books. Our books teach younger readers lessons about life and offer possible solutions to problems they may face. We have seasoned them with a splash of humor…just enough to keep our readers interested and make reading them fun.
I have also written a book of short stories about a small town diner filled with large-scale story tellers. The stories are filled with colorful characters most people hope they never meet. Yes, they are a bit bizarre, but more than a hair humorous. Most of the characters in this book really do, or did exist. I think that is why the folks who have read the stories hope and pray they never bump into any of them. Needless to say, this book is NOT a children’s book!
All of my stories were originally written for the sheer joy the act of writing brings me, but hey, if anyone out there happens to be looking for some new and unusual books to publish, a new client, or if you just want to read some cool stories about Southern folks, drop me an e-mail. I’ll be happy to oblige.
I am so excited to be a part of the JacketFlap community. Thanks for the hearty welcome!
