After years of writing proposals and designing training programs for adults, a wonderful grandson named Henry came into my life. His interest and love of all the creatures and plants in my garden inspired me to put aside my computer, pick up my crayons, and write a silly book for him. He has graciously allowed me to share his tale with other children who might also enjoy the delights of their own gardens.

My wonderful husband, Keir McLaren, lovingly illustrated this book, along with the other two "Henry Books" he wrote, "Henry Visits the World's Silliest Zoo," and "Henry Meets a Three-Legged Dog." After editing his first two books, I decided that Nana needed to get in on the action and lend her voice to Henry's adventures. Stay tuned for more to follow.
