Hello, I’m Tanmay Singh. I was born on 2nd August 1998 in Faizabad city (near Ayodhya, birth place of Lord Rama) of India. I reside in Faridabad (Haryana) and study in 8th std. I was inclined towards drawing since my early childhood and used to get A+ grades for diagrams/ figures drawn by me in my school notebooks. I drew the attention of my principal when she saw my artworks and declared me as “Budding Artist”. Within three months of that I won several intra/ inter school painting competitions and my school awarded me as “Best Artist” in 2008. Apart from painting I am good in academics too and have won the National HDFC Meritus Scholarship 2009.In October 2008, my father come through www.fineartamerica.com website and created my profile and uploaded few of my artworks. He motivated me to be more serious about Arts and admitted me into a painting school. Visit to National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi was an inspiring one. There I watched some very beautiful paintings of well known painters of India like Nand Lal Bose, Anjoli Ela Menon, Manjeet Bawa, Avaneendra Nath Tagore, Raja Ravi Verma, MF Hussain. Since then I’ve polished my artistic talent with the guidance of my Art Teachers, and on-line instructions of fellow artists like Harold Shull, Linda Mungerson, Enver Larney, Charles Peck etc. of Fine Art America. So far, I’ve sold two prints of my artworks through Fine Art America. My aim is to be Picasso of 21st Century, better person and contribute for better, safe and peaceful world.
