I believe that I have always wanted to be an author. I remember in 2nd grade I wrote but never finished my first book about a cat named Butter who lived in Catville. I was influenced by my dad who always took us to the library every Saturday and in the end we would eat shaved ice.

I was born in Tokyo, Japan and only went to first grade as my initial schooling. I loved school, my dad would sit with me every night on the sofa to read "A Pig Can Jig." He was my number one cheerleader. His favorite quote was "The pen is mightier than the sword."

I published my first children's book shortly after my mom died in 2009, "Naughty Nathan."

Prior to that I have had publications in small magazines and in periodicals where I talked about growing up on Kauai.

I have a handsome husband, three heroic sons, a lovely stepdaughter, and two floppy rabbits.
