About Ricardo

Ricardo Jesus Amado was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico on August 26, 1982 but grew up in Huntington Park, CA. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 2001. He began to write Everland in December 2006 during his first deployment to Iraq.He deployed twice again for a total of three overseas tours: two in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and one in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I feel like I have to work harder at the writing....it doesn't come as easy as pictures. Regardless, it is great to be able to communicate through words and pictures, by themselves or combined.

WOW! It's amazing to hear all about you. I'm going to check out your Everland. I'm sure it's amazing. You are the same age as my son. He is married now with a little girl. She had to be delivered early so she only weighed 2lbs 14oz. But she is doing great now.
