Hi Sandra, what inspired me to write about whales?...well I have not seen too many stories about ' cute little baby whales.' I decided to write about a little baby whale that has several under water adventures with various marine life, i.e, star fish, turtles, octopus, etc.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will keep them in my file for future reference when we need new material as our books evolve. ESL is always a difficult area to work with especially when it comes to finding reading material that is relevant and interesting for the students yet readable.
