I have been illustrating children's books since 1996 and it is a wonderful occupation to have after spending many years as an Art Editor/Buyer with many publishing companies. Here, I found many wonderful artists and illustrators, some who have become very good friends from everywhere around the world.
My medium is collage and I hand paint my papers from which I cut shapes to create bold and very colorful illustrations. Over the years, I have illustrated many small reading books for educational publishers and for children's magazines. And I am always looking for projects.
Working with children by doing workshops is fun and inspiring for me. Usually, I have the students paint their own papers, come to the workshops with all the materials they would need to create a collage. I begin by choosing a theme and doing part of the illustration and then ask the students to finish it, of course as a collage. It is amazing to see what they create. At the end, we do an art signing with my signature and their signature.
