About Patricia
Patricia writes mysteries for both adults and children. Her middle grade mystery stories have been published online at Stories for Children and About.com. They feature a trio of fifth grade, mutlicultural sleuths, who call themselves the Stanley St. Irregulars. As Soeun Ye, one of the fifth-grade investitgators says, "We're not like a "regular gang," but help the underdog. In their investigative roles, the trio have solved mysteries in "The School Locker Mystery," and the "Case of the Purple Hands" among others.
Patricia, a former elementary, innercity school teacher, also has written a beginning readers series featuring Fat Cat and Gray Mouse. This dynamic duo teach lessons about who two creatures that should be adversaries can be friends and helpful buddies. Six of the Fat Cat and Gray Mouse stories were published as e-book/CDs by ChildrenzBooks, that has ceased publication. The series' illustrator Ashok Raj, who lives in India, and both he and Patricia had a great time depicting this dynamic duo in print and picture.
Fat Cat and Gray Mouse are looking for a new publisher. In this series, Patricia incorporates special reading techniques and strategies for the young reader that Patricia learned as a teacher in a pilot program called, Project TALK (Teaching the Acquisition of Language to Kids). Her background includes teaching primary age children from limited-English speaking homes. She is completing a middlegrade reader with the Stanley Street Irregulars titled "The Curse of Morgan Creek."
Patricia also has an adult mystery series featuring amateur sleuth Bridget O'Hern. Two of these books have been published and well received. Death Stalks the Khmer, in fact, has been accepted and used in two university classes. The reason is that the subject material helps students to better understand a different cultural community trying to adjust into American society.

Hi, Patricia, I can't help but agree...death comes far too soon. I know that I don't have the time to accomplish all that I want too, even if I live to 100. Your title is very intriguing. Best of luck to you and all of your endeavors.
