I am a certified pediatric speech-language pathologist with a specialty in early intervention services. In 2007, I sold two manuscripts to Two-Can books. I worked with one of their wonderful professional editors. It was a great experience. Sadly, Two-Can’s sale has resulted in some changes to their business and I am now looking for a small, education-oriented children’s publishing company for the other books I have created.

I use board books daily in my practice with children. Parents frequently ask me to suggest books that are sturdy and have simple concepts presented in a less infant oriented format. Parents also request books to help them maximize their children’s development. They want to make the most of the time they spend with their children and seek books with activities that encourage and educate as well as entertain. I have yet to find any readily available books that are written by the actual specialists who work on these skills with children everyday.

I write simple books are fun, educational, rhyming stories that introduce new vocabulary and physical and social skills. They also encourage practice of developmentally significant activities.
