kc dyer was born in Calgary, and has lived and worked in many cities around Canada and the US. She has taught in public, private and Montessori schools, but these days she mostly just visits schools for fun. Currently, she lives with her children and other animals just outside Vancouver, British Columbia. Her books include the historical fiction Eagle Glen trilogy: SEEDS OF TIME, SECRET OF LIGHT and SHADES OF RED, as well as a contemporary novel for teens called MS. ZEPHYR'S NOTEBOOK. Her new book, d A WALK THROUGH THE WINDOW, will be published in 2009. When she's not visiting schools, kc spends a lot of time staring out her window while trying to find the perfect word.
