I'm a film maker and script writer by trade, as well as a semi-pro doodler. I've decided to see what trouble I can get into by creating a children's book. The book is essentially about mindfulness and awareness through the eyes of a young goat named Otis. So far, the process of creating a children's book isn't all that different from making a film. The same tenants and skill sets are all at work. Especially the meticulous editing and rewrites. I know little to nothing about the publishing world, and hope my involvement in Jacket Flap will help expound on my understanding of the industry and serve as continuing inspiration for the work. I'm a Los Angeles transplant to Napa Valley where I live with my wife, and 2 kids sandwiched between a couple vineyards (like everyone else).
