I am a writer of children's books currently written in poetry. Through the encouragement of family, I self-published my 1st book when I was 90 years old (young) and am working on several more which I hope to have published soon. I have written poetry nearly all of my life. Being one of nineteen (19) children and having five (5) of my own plus nineteen (19) grandchildren plus great and great great grandchildren, I have lots of experiences to write about. I often include a poem written especially for the recipient of a birthday card. I can pretty much write a poem on a moment's notice, about a trip; a pet; my children; an everyday event or special event. You name it and I will try. People have requested me to compose a poem for someone in regards to a special happening in their life. I get so busy thinking and writing, I don't know where the time goes.
