Gail Jarrow (www.gailjarrow.com) writes nonfiction books and novels for children and young adults. Her books have earned YALSA Award Nominations for Excellence in Nonfiction, an Orbis Pictus recommendation by the National Council of Teachers of English, as well as Kirkus Reviews Best Book, School Library Journal Best Book, and VOYA Honor Book distinctions. She has received additional awards and recognition from the American Booksellers Association, American Library Association, National Science Teachers Association & the Children's Book Council, Public Library Association, the Society of School Librarians International, Junior Library Guild, and Bank Street College of Education. Her articles and stories have appeared in various children's magazines, including Highlights for Children, Spider, Cricket, Muse, Cobblestone, and Faces.
She has a B.A. from Duke University and M.A. from Dartmouth College. Gail has taught writing to adults and science and math in elementary and middle schools.
