Howdy,
My name is Fox Carlton Hughes. Funny name, I agree, but it looks good on a cheque.
Although I didn't start drawing until I was 55, I've had the pleasure of working as an animator/illustrator/writer for many of the major publishing houses and animation studios . . . including Disney.
My latest book, Rainbow Rhino, has just received the Mom's Choice Silver Medal award (see Amazon) and my upcoming book, The Dissatisfied Witch has just won an award from Writer's Digest even though it hasn't even been printed yet.
Before doing all this stuff, I was a Jazz guitarist and singer in clubs up and down the West Coast up until I had a hand injury which stooped my playing. I then decided I wanted to write children's books but in rhyme. Unfortunately, most publishers will not accept rhyme because most of it is doggerel. I seem to be an exception and offer my services to would be writers who like rhyme but can't quite make it work. I will also consider illustrating other author's books as well.
