I am a writer/illustrator based in Austin, TX with a passion for writing middle grade fiction. Although I've developed a few picture books, I'm primarily interested in illustrating cover art and love working with pastels. Besides writing kids books I also write screenplays and have worked as a judge for the Austin Film Festival for the last few years. I've been a member of SCBWI for at least four years and love this writing community, especially the enthusiastic Austin chapter.

When I'm not writing and painting, I'm working with horses and teaching children how to communicate with these magnificent animals.
