About Barbara
Before I became a writer, I was a teacher. I guess that's why I enjoy visiting schools and meeting up with my readers. Writing for children is great fun. I love to write funny books (my series of stories about Damain Drooth, the hopeless boy detective is my favourite) and I really enjoy writing thrillers for older children.

Thanks for the note, Barbara. That's interesting that you sometimes think of the title and work the story around it. And thanks for the comment on Sir Newton. I learn a lot from doing those books, and they're a lot of fun. I'm also writing a middle-grade novel, so it's all go.
