Cynthia Reeg says, "Writing children's literature means staying young of heart forever."Cynthia's writings have appeared in Highlights, Faces, My Friend, Clubhouse, Stories for Children Magazine and Dragonfly Spirit. She has pending publications in Ladybug. Cynthia received the Missouri SCBWI 2006 Mentorship Award for her middle grade novel, THE SLIGHTLY TANGLED TALES OF JIM-BO BAXTER. Three of her poems have won top honors in the annual Springfield, Missouri Writers Guild Contest. Her Hispanic Christmas story, "The Lost Shepherd Boy," received Special Mention in the 2006 Society of Southwestern Authors Writing Contest. Her latest Christmas story, "Christmas Treasures," earned first runner-up in the 2007 Springfield Writers Contest.

Cynthia Reeg earned a Masters of Library Science from Oklahoma University. Cynthia is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, the Missouri Writers Guild, the St. Louis Children’s Writers Circle, the American Library Association, the Catholic Library Association, and the St. Louis Catholic Library Association.
