I'm a children's picture book writer who enjoys creating quirky off-the-wall stories that capture the readers imagination both visually and figuratively. Basically I write with the visual first and foremost, unfortunately I am not a gifted artist but would be open to seeing some cartoon-type illustrations that would bring my characters to life. My characters are predominately non-conventional (worms, stink bugs, stick bugs...) and relate well to boys, tomboys and the adventurous. This year I've decided to make my writing a priority and not just a part time occupation. I currently have one manuscript in circulation to publishers and agents and I'm working on submitting a couple more in addition to following through on some other ideas that have been floating around in my head. I enjoy working out when possible, yoga, traveling with my family, old movies, reading (when I have the time), getting together with friends and eating out. I keep a busy schedule during the school year by staying active with my kid's schools and PTO board. My boys offer me constant material between their sibling rivalry and one son's issues with ADHD, learning disabilities and other medical concerns. Fortunately they never tire of my introduction to new things-like using them as guinea pigs for my Fear Factor booth where they sample flavored crickets and larvets in front of a captive audience. Or keeping an eye out for snakes (non-poisonous) or lizards to catch, explore and release:)
