Hi! I have been married for 16 years and have two children, a daughter in high school and a son in middle school. I am a sales engineer in business development for a chemical coatings process supplier. I have written technical articles and a corporate white paper. I attended college in northern Wisconsin, the same school that Sigurd Olsen (environmentalist/writer who lobbied for preservation of the BWCA - Boundary Waters Canoe Area- on the MN/Ontario Border) attended. I graduated with a bachelor’s in Environmental Studies in 1977. I love the outdoors and have camped and fished in many areas of the US and Ontario Canada. I also ventured into the boundary waters several times on guided fishing trips. Twenty years ago I started working on a coming of age story about a 13 year old boy who joins his uncle and their French-Canadian guide to the North Woods for a canoeing, camping and fishing trip. Along the way he gains self confidence, solves a family mystery and discovers the magic of the north woods (based on the BWCA), About five years ago I sent it out to Publish America and they wanted to publish it but asked me to change the title. I had second thoughts and pulled it. I also discussed it with a small Canadian publisher. They too wanted to publish it, but I wasn’t interested. I have finally self published it. It's available on as download or bound copy on Amazon and Lulu.com. (I've actually sold some copies, but I'm not quitting my day job). Regards Bruce
