I am a teacher of English and media studies in the north west of England and I want to be a writer. I have three grown up children two grown up step children and 1 grandson. I travel in europe a lot and actually own a property in Slovenia, a small but perfectly formed nation in the former Yugoslavia.
At the moment still struggling with defining myself as a writer. I feel the thing that is holding me back is fear that because I have been reading non-stop since I was four years old anything I might write may be so derivative or pastiche as to be an embarrasment.

I'm so glad the kids in your school are excited about the Holocaust survivor. My goal for my book is to carry on their stories after they're gone. Good for you for keeping them alive!
