I began writing when I was seven years old and never stopped. I have earned my living as a copywriter, magazine editor and book editor, translator and translation project manager, writing, writing all the way. Most of my recently published work is poetry. My poem "Inside the Circle" was a finalist for the 2006 Pablo Neruda Award. Publications in which my work has appeared are listed at the end of this profile.



I have also done lots of feature writing and write and edit in both English and Spanish. I produced a bilingual story program for children in the 1990s and continue to do a lot of voice work in both English and Spanish.


I also do book design and just finished the design for Putting Dreams to Flight, a biography of Leland Snow published by Midwestern State University Press. Prior to that, I edited and designed the poetry collection, DreamBones by Shelia Campbell, which was awarded best edited book in 2006 by Texas Press Women.


I have long been in love with vocabulary and vision and how they interact on page and screen.
