Inspired by the drama of the Thai Cave, Suzy was in the grip of the real-life story of The Wild Boars Football Team Rescue and felt she HAD to create this book. The book is suitable for ages 10+ and adults - and will appeal to girls and boys, men and women! Suzy has remained true to Thailand in her writing of the story. She researched Thai Mystical Folklore and wove a story of The Monk and The Princess of The Mountain alongside the drama of the escape from the labyrinth.
Suzy is also the author of "Luna The Moon Pig, The Pig Who Hid" a fairy tale Picture Book Story illustrated by the legendary Sheila Graber, famous for her work with Paddington Bear and family, Children's T.V, and her animation and illustration of Rudyard Kipling's "Just So" Stories. Her Middle-Grade Book, which has a message about Global Warming is "Snugs The Snow Bear," available in Hardback, Paperback, and Kindle Editions! Peter Hall is the illustrator for this book.
"Johari's Window," is Suzy's debut Romance Novel which tells the story of a writer. Published in Paperback and Kindle versions, this book was inspired by Suzy's time as an English Teacher in South Korea.
She was born in Reading, Berkshire, England, and spent her early childhood in Aberystwyth in Wales. The idyllic location provided her with a lifelong love of the sea, and as an adult, Suzy has lived in Brighton, Sussex, and in Southbourne in Bournemouth, Dorset, in England.
Suzy studied at Leicester and Sussex Universities, where she gained a degree in Applied Sociology and an MA in English Literature respectively.
Her teaching career has taken her to The Czech Republic and to South Korea, and Suzy enjoys traveling.
Suzy resides in Deltona, Florida, with her American husband, who is also a keen writer.
Suzy's Literary influences for Children's Literature are Michael Bond, Raymond Briggs, Elizabeth Beresford, Dylan Thomas, A.A Milne, Hans Christian Andersen and Beatrix Potter.
For Romantic Fiction, major Literary influences include Nabokov, James Joyce, and Virginia Woolf.
Suzy's writing style is lyrical, and Suzy greatly admires the poetry of Pablo Neruda which has influenced her romantic fiction writing.
Among her favorite poetry for children is the work of Lewis Carroll, and Dr Seuss.
