I'm a retired gramma of one, living on my own in beautiful British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. I'm a late bloomer to children's publishing. Frankly, as a single parent of three, there were many years I was way too busy to write books!
At age 50 wanderlust came over me and I left Canada to live and teach in Japan. I spent six years traveling and working...and writing. I also got married to a Japanese man which was a surprise to everyone, including me!
After my first published kid's book, Fly Catcher Boy, went out of print in 2011, I decided to re-work/re-launch it as an iBook for the iPAD (compatible print version also available on Amazon). I had a fabulous team-- including a 16 year old illustrator whose manga-style art brought new life to the story-- and was one of the first writers in Canada to go digital!
