About Jodi
Hi I'm Jodi I am the mother of three grown girls; and we just welcomed my very first grandchild, Liam into our family. That adorable dog that is my picture is the dog love of my life; Sampson. Sampson joined my family in 2004 right after my last child left the house. Being a nurturer by nature I needed someone to take care of and Sampson fit the bill perfectly. My husband (Chet) and I put so much effort into raising Sampson and he is an absolute WONDERFUL boy. He is the inspiration for my children's picture book, "And Along Came Sampson."
And Along Came Sampson is a children's book (ages 3 to 7) and is illustrated with pictures of Sampson, the story is about Sampson's first year of life and the pictures correspond to the story. I was inspired to write this book for a baby shower. The baby shower invitation requested I bring a children's book to start Nate's library. I looked high and low for the book I loved to read to my niece "Yoo Hoo Moon" but could not find it. I had been wanting to make a scrapbook for Sampson and I was in between and jobs and viola! A star was born.
And Along Came Sampson has been on the Literary Agents Showcase website for the past year. I have recently purchased an Agent's list from LAS and am in the process of querying agents.
I presently have ideas for additional "Sampson" books, namely "My Florida Vacation," "My North Carolina Vacation," and "Sampson Stone, Trail Dog."
Last year we rescued a female chocolate lab and named her Delilah, naturally there is "And Then There Was Delilah," as well as (of course you saw this coming....) "Sampson and Delilah."
Having just added our first grandson to the mix, there could very well be a "Sampson, Delilah and Liam" book! :-)
