Hi,I've written a children's Bible, The Show & Tell Bible. The children absolutely adore it--I have yet to find a child who does not enjoy learning Bible stories when presented this way...which is on DVD. There were 650 pictures on the first volume, the books of Moses. Second volume (books of History) required two DVD discs to hold all the pictures. The planned 5 volume set will eventually cover all the stories in the Bible and all the books. It's a totally "green" picture book. You can see samples at www.showandtellbible.comHow did I get into this?Well, I grew up on a wheat and cattle ranch in Eastern Washington where I loved to draw, read and ride. The attitude on a farm is that if it needs to be done, you do it. After studying art and English at the UW, I became a teacher and taught classes ranging from 6th grade down to the mentally retarded trainables. I raised three children and have five grandchildren and am an active teacher in the church of Christ, which is a very Bible-based group. I wrote a traditional romance, TURNAGAIN LOVE, which is still available at www.lionhearted.com. After presenting seminars to other teachers, I wrote a how-to-teach book, First Aid for Bible Classes.Most people retire at 65, but instead my daughter and I wrote a childrens' Bible in English and Spanish. We were trying to get a Bible that would interest the digitally minded children of today. We hope they'd become acquainted with all the stories, so when they open a regular Bible, they'll feel comfortable. We've gotten an enthusastic response from all ages, 2 and up (including teens)! Also, this has helped teach dysletic kids and others with reading problems. Our hard-of-hearing friend loves it. We've had people buy in quantity, since the price is lower, and give them as birthday, Christmas, Easter, and baby shower gifts. Preachers have used it in teaching adult classes, showing just one of the 45 stories (takes about 5-10 minutes) as an overview before starting a Bible study.Our first Volume, Vol. 1, covers the books of Moses. There is a new picture about every 8 seconds. Vol. 2 is finished and covers the books of History. Vol. 3 will finish the Old Testament.
