As a Christian mom, I was inspired to write Katrina’s Rainbow: The Miracle of the Storm Crosses to help my daughter rise above the tragedies of Hurricane Katrina and, in doing so, give other children - and adults - the message of hope that she experienced through the miracle of the crosses that survived the storm.

Katrina’s Rainbow is my second book, but the first to be published. A writer and bookworm at heart, my career path has taken me from the classroom as a high school English teacher to the courtroom as an attorney and back to the classroom as a college instructor. Now fulfilling a life-long dream, since November 2005 I have been operating my independent Christian store in Long Beach - The Walk, Books & Gifts for the Christian Journey.

In addition to having two daughters (both of whom are my favorite), I am the proud new grandmother of Ruby, the newest of seven generations of the Parker/Wescovich family to be born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. On my list of “favorite things” are family times, spiritual studies and traveling. As soon as Buka and I can, we will take Ruby on a Secret Adventure with us...and, who knows, I may have a new story to tell!
