Melizza Chernov is an award winning Illustrator and Rhode Island School of Design Alumna. Her work has been published in education and young reader magazines. She has illustrated commissioned works for individuals throughout the United States and internationally. Melizza's acrylic-on-paper color artwork and graphite-on-paper black & white artwork express her primary interest in whimsy, fairy-tale, and mythology. However, her inspirations come from many sources such as classic illustrations, nature, costume, history, and a variety of books. Melizza lives and works in a quaint Northern New England town where she shares a happy home with her lovely husband and their obstinate but cherished dog.
