Know a young teen BOY who won't read? HOOK him with my Down-under adventure, "Taconi and Claude - Double Trouble." If having to eat witchetty grubs and emu eggs doesn't hook him, the man ceremony and the biting green ants will. Oh. . . and did I mention a cool and chatty cockatoo for a pet?

My one boy was a reluctant reader. Getting him to read was like pulling teeth!! As a teacher's aide I discovered it was not unusual for boys to prefer sports, computer games and TV to reading. I also discovered there were far more books written with girls in mind than there were for boys.
