About Dale
Dale Bertrand has both written and illustrated children's books. His first was creating the photo Island of the "Giant Flowers" in the award winning "Journey to Dodoland". The second editon of this was done in 2009. Then he helped illustrate,with his washes, the best seller "Magical Earth Secrets". He contributed in co- writing and illustrating The Environmental Activity Guide a eco- sensible experience. He has worked with the Inner City Angels in schools in Toronto and presently an artist in Residence for the Art Gallery in Nanaimo in many workshops including Making Medecine Wheels, and Murals. His recent book "Druidical Quest" though suitable for high school age has numerous stories like the "The Three Mermaids," and "The Galcearth of Halloween" which could be adapted very nicely for younger ages. Dale recently did his Medicine Wheel workshop at Spirit of Painting in Bali.
