I have finished writing Book One of The Circles Trilogy, The Life in the Wood with Joni-Pip and I am now writing Book Two. I have been enjoying a Book Signing Tour all over the country, including Joni-Pip Events at The Dunstable Heritage Centre, Centre Parcs- Sherwood Forest, The Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone, Waddesdon Manor and The Eden Project.

I am not special and I am not too sure that the label I have been given...'The New Enid Blyton with Attitude', is one I could ever live up to!

I have people now stop me in the street, asking for my autograph and also demanding to know when Book Two will be in the shops! I have been thrilled at people's reactions to Joni-Pip. It was a difficult but a fabulously fun project to write, as I started it as a story for my Great Niece Joni-Pip when she was three in 1998. Tragically my beloved husband was killed in 2000 and I stopped writing for a good five years. When Joni-Pip finally nagged me into getting on and finishing the story I began for her, she had grown considerably (she is now 14) but she insisted I kept the original characters. So I had the unenviable task of making a fun-packed, mysterious, thrilling, humorous, Time Travel Adventure, which included a Talking Teddy Bear, a scatty wood pigeon, a wise Scottish Hedgehog a grumpy squirrel and an opera singing Macaw....but I managed it and I have had so many wonderful e-mails and letters from both genders and all ages (ranging from 4-88), telling me how much they enjoy my writing and simply love Joni-Pip, both the Picture Book for little children and the full length novel for all other kids at heart!

I suppose Joni-Pip is a cross between The Wind in the Willows (my favourite book) and Back to the Future.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it!
